Artsy feature wall
What do you think of this? My daughter made this amazing feature wall for our condo. I finished cutting in the paint and we sort of like the unfinished look along with our industrial and rustic touches. I originally planned on painting it all. We actually were thinking of randomly rolling a blue section over white in the living room as a feature too....just saw that recently and thought it’s a fun way to add some color and interest. The condo is downtown with lots of amazing commissioned graffiti outside. So this suits the area. Should we leave as is or paint it all?

There won’t be a ton of art and furniture will be somewhat minimalistic, rustic, industrial. This is for my sons bachelor pad and he is REALLY hard on things. He has a mental illness and drew on top of the paintings I bought him before 😢. So I’m trying to design something durable with less objects that may get wrecked or need cleaning... just walls/lights (concrete wall, industrial pendants, neon, bulbs from an iron pipe). I also painted a chalkboard wall with the hope that he will draw there 😉. Furnishing will be simple wood look ikea bedroom furniture (malm), small grey sectional in the LR with a reel table and pipe legs, small bistro table with pipe legs and matching blue moulded chairs (ikea odger). More of our inspiration...

Now my husband says he preferred it before painting and doesn’t like it all painted. Lol

Well I decided to paint it all. Partially based on your feedback, considering it was my original vision, and because the concrete wall in the other room (living room) is a bit more wild and grunge than I anticipated and I will now tone it down 😉
PRO5 years agoWe think it looks great as an accent wall. You just need to add accessories now. Here is an accent wall we did for a client:
