im wondering if you dont have 2 different plants in there.. hard to differentiate from these pix ..

but i chime in to say the media in that pot is worn out.. and the plant needs to be repotted ...

and will need to be placed closer to a light source ..... unless you just moved it here to take pix ....

Ken, thanks for the response! I was wondering that too, but it’s hard to tell myself with only the leaves looking different on the palm.

definitely repotting it, especially since it looks compacted and crunchy. I have a good window with bright indirect light for it to sit in With my small parlor palms. I’ve tried to attach a better picture here but not sure what to show on it.

The one I’m holding is the stem for the plant I’m talking about.

looks like a seedling from a bamboo palm may be mixed in with the other 2 seedlings of the neanthe bella palm

Leaves can be that way ”bifid” when palms are young also looks liks those

may be older or lower on the trunk, whuch explains why new ones have grown past that point
