The template was not exact enough. I had our counters installed with no backsplash and they were flush to the wall. If you are going to add a backsplash, no one will see the gaping. If your plan was to not put up a backsplash, this isn't good enough.

I wouldn't accept the chips or the gap. This looks like quartzite instead of quartz? Did you choose the slabs? Or tell them you weren't using a back splash?

We were going to put up wall backsplash, but I don't believe that one chip would be covered. If we chose to have the normal 2" backsplash that was in the showroom, I'm sure none of this would be an issue

I'm sorry, it is quartzite. Yes, they knew we were not using a backsplash. Yes, we chose the slabs, but honestly I think some of these cuts are old ones they had in stock. I can tell the island is definitely from our chosen slab

Overfill the chip with superglue and scrape it flush when it's dry. You'll never see it. The fit at the walls are fine. Latex caulk if you're not doing a splash please.
