We recently had a remodel done and dealt with some pretty bad contractors. One of them got what appears to be grout on our faucet. See image below. I was able to chip 99.5 percent of it off, but a thin film remains.

We aren’t drinking water out of the faucet, but do use it to wash produce and dishes. My concern is that I don’t want to slowly eat grout over the next few years.

What would you do? Leave the faucet? Buy a new one?

Contacting the contractor isn’t an option because things did not end up well with them and this is something we need to handle ourselves.
