I asked this in another thread but figured I'd start a new post with a question specific Title.

Granted the general premise is bulbs adjust themselves in the soil - I presume that saying is more in roots pulling them down, and not bulbs moving within the soil higher higher aside from frost heaving or those pesky squirrels pawing away at them ;-)

Anyhow, what has been your experience with bulbs moving deeper within the soil.

I tried removing some bulbs I planted and I swear they were at least 5" deeper than originally planted.

Not longer than 4 or 5 years ago planted.
