Twelve plants for $37? They must be pretty small. --edit I re-read your post and see that they are 2" size.

I couldn't say for sure without knowing the details including the specific plant names.

If these are common, is there a specific reason why you don't buy them locally? Don't get me wrong, I purchase a LOT of plants online. So I have no problem buying plants online. But my motivation is generally because I can't find specific varieties locally.

a plant is worth what you pay for it .. and that is usually a function of how bad you want it .. lol

i guess its a function of do you really want or need 12 more house plants .. and have room for them .. they arent going to stay tiny forever ... the space for 12 2 inch pots.. might end up holding one pot of the mature plant ...

the things that strikes me most ... is that i think.. you wil not know what you will receive in advance ... do you really need 12 more pathos?? ... or are they guaranteed to be 12 different plants ...

As i said, im new to houseplants, so there are quite a few on the list that i have never heard of. Im wondering if they are all worth $3 each?

I checked my local nurseries and Walmart and the nursery houseplants were all large and over $20 each and Walmart only had 2-3 varieties they considered houseplants. I guess i should try Home Depot before making any purchases online.

I currently have only 5 houseplants (and 3 are just cuttings in jars) so im just trying to grow my collection in a budget friendly way. (:

it would definitely be 12 more varieties, no repeats. I posted a list of possible species i would receive. Tell me what you think. I don't know enough about plants to know if id be overpaying for any of them.

Hmm... I don't know. The good side is that you get a huge variety of small plants to try to see what you like best and what likes you best. The bad is that they will be really small and some of those are questionable as houseplants or how well they will do for you and you might be overwhelmed by twelve completely different plants with completely different requirements.

I'm torn. On the one hand it wouldn't be how I would go about dipping my toes in. But on the other hand, it does seem pretty exciting to get all those at one time.

I assume that there is a shipping charge beyond the $37 so you have to also figure that into the per-plant price.

If you decide to go for it, let us know when they arrive what you think.

i decided to go a different route. It’s still similar but they are all definitely “easy care” house plants. There is a chance of repeats with the newer bundle I chose but not more than twice a plant, so that would still be a variety of 6 new plants.

I ended up googling the entire original list. I really didnt want to but decided it was worth it if it saved money in the long run- I was very unimpressed with a lot of the plants offered.

part of collecting.. ANYTHING.. is the hunt ... and that is what you would miss buying in bulk in one fell swoop ...

after that.. you wouldnt have any explanation of why you would need to visit every nursery or greenhouse within a hundred miles.. every sunday afternoon .. lol .... or during your lunch hour.. when peeps actually used to go to work ...

while this is true, im on a tight budget (most of the time) and wanted a way to ”practice” having several plants.

Otherwise, i definitely have a wishlist but some of the plants run $20-50 for just a small plant. (there are a few Hoyas i want soo bad)

believe me.. i understand budgets ... i always bought small ... so i could afford more plants ...

bottom line.. if this deal will make you so happy.. then who cares what we think.. go for it ...

besides.. with all those plants.. you are going to need to have more money for all the pots.. and media you will quickly need ...

do nurseries still have recycle bins ... start collecting free pots in an assortment of sizes ... this is a great time of year to garbage pic them also .. nothing like hitting the motherlode when someone plants their garden.. and puts a giant pile of pots and trays at the curb ...

or just mention it to neighbors... and ask them to give them to you ...

i actually have a ton of pots. we have a thrift store here that sells pots & such for 25 cents each.
