It sounds as if you have4 been busy. computers are so nice and maddening at the same time, aren't they. Don't make me cry telling me about having just a few weeds. My garden was invaded by a weird weed last year that I am fighting butt not winning so far. It throws seeds worse than the little violets and comes up as thick as the hair on a dog's back.

Look closer at some of my photos and you will see them they are called chamber weeds, and look like leaves on a mimosa tree. Deep much (at least 4 inches) helps keep them away. seems like there is always a problem in the garden. But it is a place of great joy too. I hope you can "stick a fork in" your computer woes.

Rain here is very welcome, but unfortunately, will not be as substantial as originally forecast. Maybe half an inch.

Looking forward to seeing your seedlings, Brad. We got 2" rain here, plants are loving it, you can almost watch them grow. Wish I had gotten more mulch on last fall, but 8 don't have as much problem with daylilies, it is iris where you are not supposed to mulch.

I got a bucket of pine needles and will be trying them out for the first time, small area though.

Did you register or just garden named the seedling?

Congratulations on naming your seedling. Is it the one out of Bittersweet Destiny or one of the lavenders?

Nat, if you get plenty of pine needles, I find they work better and look better than mulch. Also they seem to fertilize the ground well, as I've seen better results over all. It took a couple of years of decomposition but I like what I've seen. The seedling is one of the lavenders, Beryl Quinn x Fiordiligi. No I didn't register it. It gets 10 buds or so and rapidly increases, is reliable and tall, but I need way more buds than that to register.

Brad: I hope the computer issues will get resolved once and for all. Seedling color looks very good with the lavender/cream on those ruffled edges. Looks to have a yellow to green throat.
