I have store bought bananas that were pretty green at purchase time.

6 days later they are only 50% yellow and starting to get brown spots on the peel like over ripe bananas.

I tried eating one and it was both soft and mushy in texture like a very ripe banana, but at the same time, it had the unripe banana taste.

What can be done to prevent this from happening again? How do you make sure the bananas turn bright yellow and sweet while they are still firm and don’t start getting soft and spotted while the peels are still green?
