@Diane Brakefield Wow that is my dream arch!!!! Is that all the same rose? The last picture took my breath away. How long did that take to grow? Oh and where did you get your arch?!

Sarena, I got that arch 17 years ago online, and I haven't the faintest idea where. We have one nursery here in town that sells lot of wonderful arches. Maybe you have a similar local nursery stocking arbors (arches). Also, our Lowe's here has quite a few arbors; not sure about Home Depot. Online, there is Gardener's Supply; Plow and Hearth; Hayneedle, and other sellers. That is one Colette rose and I've been growing her for about 10 years, plus or minus a year or two. She is grafted and was purchased at my favorite nursery locally.. She was in a five gallon pot so she began blooming her first year. I should have some 2021 photos soon. I grow Golden Celebration, a favorite Austin of mine, which would make a climber if you had a really wide arbor. But he's yellow, of course. Diane

Thank you for all the info. That is a spectacular arch. I plan to go shopping for an arch in fall. Yours almost looks like its two arches together or is that your beautiful rose just hanging over? @Diane Brakefield

Colette is amazing ! what a lovely show diane !

eden is beautiful .. but rebloom isnt fabulous and there isnt very much fragrance if any .

generous gardener has a blush tint but is pretty much a cream .

strawberry hill is lovely and smells great ! i havent grown it on an arbor but i hope someone has pics for you .

@Diane Brakefield I could look at pictures of yoir garden for ages. It is such an inspiration. I will definetly keep that rose in mind.

@Lilyfinch z9a Murrieta Ca okay this information was so helpful, thank you! That crosses Eden off my list, smell is important to me. What are the blooms like on generous gardner and strawberry hill? Do they last long and bloom well? And do you think they could compliment each other?

SoFl has a GREAT picture that won our rose society's photo contest of her Spirit of Freedom on an arch. It is simply gorgeous. I have SOF too, but I do not have her on anything. Right now I am growing it more as a bush, but will probably get something for her to attach to after hurricane season.

SOF has a great scent... she is pink but sometimes will have a lavender overcast in certain weather related issues. Mine is bs free and is an own root. I am in zone10 South Florida where it is hot and humid

@sharon2079 Oh I really considered SOF she is such a beautiful form! But I wanted more pink then lilac. But you make it sound like the lilac isnt very noticeable? How is the bloom lasting period? Thank you for responding!

@Sarena Altman My Spirit of Freedom normally last a week or so on the bush.... it would probably be longer but I get a lot of heavy wind... that being said it probably does better than most.. especially of my DA's. The only time that my SOF was actually lavender was one time when I made a cutting and put in a vase. The next morning it seemed to be lavender.... I did a double take and wondered what rose was that.... When I was outside the rose sure enough was pink... but... I do NOT get lavender roses every time I cut.... I have seen pictures from other's where it appears lavender.... I was just giving a warning in case you have something against lavender.... but I don't know when or why it turns.... I actually like it.... but I like it both ways... and it smells great.

I sent a text to SoFl to see if she could post her picture.... I haven't heard from her lately... She doesn't post much any more. If she post it I will put a link here.
