We used a local cabinet maker for our kitchen.

Brookhaven is nice. I know someone who installed them 20 years ago and just now the handles are wearing but the cabinets still look great!

Hoping to get more feedback, please share your recommendations..thanks!

@Jaya Gehani I'm not sure if you've seen this (url below) but I did reference the chart in it a few times when looking at cabinet brands when we started ours. I can say for Bookhaven my parents redid their kitchen ~20 years ago and it's a painted cream color. It still looks great. There's wear on the knobs but I suspect for a minor amount they could get those replaced. They haven't had anything break or become problematic and they have huge drawers, pull outs, built in organizers, etc. (my mom's a designer and so her kitchen was done to later showcase for a kitchen design gallery so she has a lot of options in it that have all worn well). It's handled my dad putting away dishes like a caveman and 3 grandkids who aren't very delicate.

We have wood-mode from the 80's (which i believe is equivalent to brookhaven nowadays) and they just started going in the past year. I think the company makes a pretty solid product and so that's why we looked at them this time. We ended up with Plato for our next kitchen but only because we wanted natural walnut and loved theirs more, but I would absolutely have ordered brookhaven hands down without any second thought. They really do take pride in their product and every kitchen I've seen in their product has lasted well. Around this area their company is known to be the high end that everyone goes to.

I can't speak to the other ones you're looking at though, no one around here carries them (I looked at about a dozen kitchen design places before we chose our place) and I've never heard much about them. Sorry!

Many thanks for your responses.

Strongly disagree with that list posted on link above. Wonder if companies paid to get higher ratings.
