Friday FFO's and Almost Openers

More of my daylilies were able to open today, and several came close to being fully open. So things are getting better.

Carolina Pale Face ffo - This midseason bloomer has double-scaped on several fans, so this must be a rebloom scape that formed in the fall. It's never been my first pink to bloom before. But I'm happy to see it, since it's one of my favorites.

Core Values has been blooming for a few days now, but its other flowers couldn't open. It had three blooms today, but they were not near each other.

White Tooth ffo - has never bloomed this early before. This may be one of those rebloom scapes that formed in fall but didn't have time to bloom then.

Busy Being Fabulous is always an early one. I sure wish this one would be its registered height of 38 inches. It's about 30. In the three years I've had it, bud counts have always been under 10. I think I need to try it in another spot.

Royal Seal had one bloom almost open fully and one that didn't want to open at all. The color was such a dark blue purple this morning!

Aerial Applique has been blooming for several days, but this is the first day without splotches or sepal issues.

Facemaker ffo - Petals opened fine, sepals not so much.

All are looking good! it is good to have good blooming days after the effects of the cool nights. Royal Seal still looks sooo purple! Carolina Pale Face earns its spot as one of your favorites. How pretty!!

Kate - Yes, I was happy to see some opening today, but it looks like we will have rain almost every day next week. Royal Seal is just so richly colored, and it's had to believe its pod parent was a red. Very little redness in it.

Very pretty as always. You should be back to normal blooming very soon. Facemaker is awfully pretty. I really like White Tooth and Royal Seal.

Good group but Aerial Applique shines.Facemaker has a nice pattern. I guess it is better to have rain than a drought.

We too are predicted to have rain/thunderstorms each day next week. This weekend we will be in the low 90's. I saw today that Dearest Valentine has 2 scapes just starting to come up. I guess the move did not set it back.

All beautiful blooms, but Carolina Pale Face is my favorite. I love those pink ones. I like the pattern on Facemaker. White Tooth is my third pick. I love a toothy one with an eye.

Aerial Applique sometimes has a lot of bud drop. Your scape looks good.

A nice group despite the opening troubles. I think Royal Seal is my favorite, love the saturated color today. I like Facemaker, love the simpler pattern.

Sherry, Nan, Julia and kay - Facemaker does have a nice pattern, and it's a very large bloom, but I didn't get any increase on it. I think it may be a slow grower here.

Mantis and Julia - I only get bud drop on Aerial Applique when temps are in the upper 90s. It's one Lambertson that's always performed well here. I sold several divisions of it this Spring, so my clump this year will not be as impressive as last year.
