i presume you have no idea how it got from grower to seller ... so we dont know if it was injured then ..

first pic.. its the lowest oldest leave ... those are often sacrificed when a plant is stressed.. perhaps from moving it from grower to seller to you ...

i cant tell in the second pic ...

with any new plant.. give it a month to settle down ...and show any old minor damage that is slow to show ... and then focus on new growth for its current status ...

sounds like you are keeping it a bit dry ... how did you come up with this watering scheme ... years of experience.. or just winging it??? .. either is approved.. lol.. dont get me wrong ...

if the grower kept it damp.. and you are keeping it dry ... that is just another stress its reacting to .. not that either way might be wrong.. its just acclimating.. older leaves.. blah.. blah.. blah ...

I added some more pictures of the plant. I just had a small leaf fall off - it wasn't brown but was pretty soft. When I purchased it, it was damp so I let it dry out a bit as I've heard these plants don't require a lot of water and I have fungus gnats in my house. I live in Northern California so I don't have to water my plants very often.
