Backsplash on open wall, kitchen?

An unfortunate leak has us remodeling our kitchen. Counter, sink, and floor are all changing. We’re keeping the cabinets. I’m putting a subway tile backsplash(white or off white) from the counter up to the cabinet. How do I continue the backsplash on the open wall with the window? Keep it cabinet height and move shelves above it? Tile whole wall to the ceiling? Would that look odd because the backsplash won’t be to the ceiling where I have cabinets?

In the pictures, it looks like you have a backsplash - the same a the counter. You don't need more than that. Or is that going to be removed?

I would keep it the height of the bottom of the cabinets, if you are doing a new backsplash.

Thanks! The counter and backsplash pictured are getting replaced, something much lighter in color. And I don’t want a stone backsplash at all so it’d be tile from the counter to the bottom of the cabs, 18 inches. I just wasn’t sure what to do with the open wall with the window. So you think to carry the 18inch backsplash around to the open wall?

I usually LOVE a full wall of tile but depending on what is to the right of your cabinet on the right side...I'm guessing you can't do a full wall.

If you can't do a full wall I would do the splash up to this line:
