wrong tile installed

Builder installed wrong tile wall to wall. Wrong tile removed. Before new tile went in, cabinets installed. Cabinets actually installed over skim coat from tile just removed. Builder says no big deal. Am I being unreasonable? Seems like they should install correct tile wall to wall before installing cabinets. Thoughts? Thank you in advance!

Kitchen tiles for backsplashes are installed after the cabinets and countertops are installed. How was it you did not see the tiles prior to installation? I suggest you educate yourself on reading articles and blogs in this Houzz website on kitchen renovations.

Floor tile or backsplash? If floor the cabinets definitely go over the tiled floor or you block in your under counter appliances. Good luck getting him to fix it now however.
