Thank you all! I feel so old as I didnt even see these replies until now as I thought I opted for emails to let me know if I got a response, so sorry about the late reply back to you all. The website has changed so much that I had to actually google the forum again because I couldn’t find my post under my updated account. I should of just asked my 15 year old for help! LOL! I also liked everyone’s comments and hope I at least did that right!

I will have to take some pictures of my trees, although some are sad looking which can be embarrassing! I do have some that survived but a few have missing labels, even though I would put at least 2-3 labels on/in each plant, one with a tie label and one as a stick label below the soil line so the sun couldn’t bleach it out ( I think i did a post once on why the silver sharpies are better at keeping color than the regular sharpies).

Hey Mike, do you still have the Valentine Pummelo from Logees? We bought ours at the same time years ago, and I wound up getting 2 as I was in CT for a gig and actually went to Logees and picked up a second one. I really wish i had them still, they always looked so good to eat. I hope yours made it and you got to try one, if yiou did, how does it taste?

Ponciricusguy, I remember your name too! I thought you were doing some citrus seed planting at the time?!

Also thank you Jan, James, Bob, & Hibiscus for your nice messages. Hibiscus, I assume you grow hibiscus? It’s funny as that’s one of a few flower plants I am growing and have several to put in the ground. They have dark foliage with very purple leaves so even if they dont flower this year, they will still look very pretty ;) But mine are hardy bc of my zone.

Ok, I hope i didnt miss mentioning anyone who replied to me, but thank you so much everyone for your replies and well wishes. I’ll be sure to now look directly on here instead of waiting for emails ;)

Every seed grown tree from then has since died. I have currently 4 seed grown Meiwa kumquat tree whos seeds came from a grafted Meiwa from Cory. I 4 New Zealand Lemonade trees 1 on C35 Pip gave me and 3 home grafted to sour orange. I have a Valentine pomelo on US897 roots from Tom. 3 Fukushu kumquats of which 2 are seed grown from Cory and 1 I grafted to C35. The seeds for C35 are from Tom and the US897 seeds are from Pip I bought the sour orange for those seed

Did you get a Valentine yet, poncirusguy? Ive been so curious how they turned out for anyone- I have another one unnamed plant from Logees (again, i always at least double labelled) but its definitely a madarian or kumquat regarding the leaf-hoping it will fruit this year so i can see what it is.

i finally got my Santa Teresa Feminello from 4 Winds to fruit last year and my husband picked it when green for me thinking it was a lime, UGH! He was trying to help me out not feeling well so i couldnt get too mad but it still hurt! LOL!

Get to taste the fruit is what i meant

I have an in ground valentine pomelo on US897 roots. No fruits yet.

Ive been timid post any advice or ask questions since ive been away for so long.

A funny (well, not so funny) off citrus topic thing i saw yesterday were baby bunnies eating my grape leaves off a plant that finally got to fruit this year!

I also saw a post about someone planting Meyer in 7b?! Now living in Cape May at very tippy bottom of NJ, its one of only 3 maybe 4 towns that considered 7b, its making me think of new possibilities for some things. Figs are defintely going in ground for sure! Just know Im going to lose a lot to darn varmints!
