Philistine Champion X Small World Fire in the Hole got its blue ribbon today.

This small flower was also selected for further evaluation. It is School Bus X Merry Moppet. It looks a lot like School Bus, but it is taller and well budded.

This is Burgundy Eye Shadow X Mississippi Memento.

This one was supposed to be an intro this year, but I didn't have a photo to do it justice. It has such a velvety overlay that is next to impossible to photograph. This new iphone 11's camera seems to have done the trick. This is a small flower--about 4 inches on a big robust plant.

This is one of our favorite seedlings. It won't be registered since it has a low bud count and a fairly puny plant under it. We are crossing it with more robust plants.

True north Queen Bee is pretty. Two Part Harmony does not double for me til half the buds are gone, then it doubles pretty consistently. I like it either way. Several seedlings I like, the Philistine Champion seedling and the Burgandy Eyeshadow one.i like the last one too.

I also like True North Queen Bee and Rosie with a Ring has a nice ruffled pencil edge color on the petals Nice contrast. The first seedling of Princess of Alexandria X (Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You) is very nice color and I like the ruffled edge.

I am so mixed up today. It's Monday, not Tuesday. I edited my post to show the correct day.

Kay, the seedling you like didn't get a blue ribbon. But, before you protest, let me say that only third year blooms are tagged with a ribbon. We don't select first year blooms. But if it were a third year, it would get a ribbon.

Bob and I used to occasionally move a good seedling from the first year bed. We did it with Cherry Pie a la Mode. We don't do it anymore since we decided to plant in landscape fabric. It's just too much cutting the fabric and letting weeds grow.

Your Rosie With A Ring looks so different than mine. But mine was a shade shot, and yours is in the sun. Also, we were probably a bit hotter than you are. On looks alone, my favorite seedling is the last one, the one that won't get registered. I really like its colors, and I hope it's successful as a bridge plant. My second favorite is School Bus x Merry Moppet.

Small World Fire in the Hole/Philistine Champion has good saturation. SWFH is blooming here now and has surprised with good bud count.
