Pale blush doesn't stand up well to our hot, dry desert sun, and from a distance, they just fade out. So, I don't grow a lot of them, but probably my favorite in this color range is Austin's Eglantyne. I've grow several of these roses in two locations since the year she came on the market in the 1990s. She has a delicate loveliness that matches her pretty scent. Maybe you would consider her solid pink, though. Diane

I have not grown it, but I saw a LOVELY bush called Magnificence. It was absolutely stunning. It is not an old rose, rather it is a HT....

Also not an old garden rose, but one of my favorites that I grow is Earth Angel. It has the old fashion blooms. I just love the globular shape and the fragrance is outstanding. It will show you white, pink, or white and pink.

I have Bliss Parfuma another Kordes that looks like an old garden rose. It is not as strong grower like Earth Angel, not is the scent as strong, but it is a nice rose. It is pink and cream.

A David Austin that also has the globular shape, with a strong scent is Spirit of Freedom. This rose will sometimes take a slight lavender cast.... no white in it but the lavender.

I grow Nahema. helpmefind.com says it is pink.... which it is.... but I think it is a two tone pink... A medium pink in the center and a lighter pink on the outside...

I am in Zone 10 Florida.

Forever Rose, pretty Jessica which is more of a medium pink along with eglantyne. I'm anxiously awaiting a Bloom from Belinda's blush and Bliss. Most of my others in this color are climbers such as Dream land. I also adore Felicia but it has a lanky growth habit that may not suit your needs. I need to stop forgetting quietness also!

'Duchess de Brabant' a fragrant pink Tea class rosebush, has a genetic color sport named

'Madame Joseph Swartz' which blooms in an ethereal white hue, and sometimes a pale silvery blush. Sometimes a bush of D de B. will bloom with a couple of white blooms on it. In your zone you could easily grow it, and it would bloom every month of the year. It is one of the most floriferous of Tea roses, and Tea roses as a class produce a high level of blooms per square foot of canopy.

I haven't grown it, but what about Ophelia? I imagine it would complement September Morn nicely, and it would be nice to grow such a historic rose.

I also love Betty white, princess Charlene, quietness, johann Strauss, earth . Forgot to add..Chantilly cream aka icecap, souvenir de st Anne's, souvenir de la malmaison.( also started blooming right after I got the plant from ARE, continues to bloom in quick flushes)

My favorite blush rose will forever and always be 'Mme Alfred Carriere', but she's probably not what you're looking for here, unless for something larger than an elephant and ambitious for world domination. But, oh, the texture and substance of those petals and so many flowers!

The blooms of Icecap are creamy white when they start opening, and then the petals show pink edges under the sun. One of my favorites.

I need to look that one up.

This one has just a hint of blush, but it's a fantastic rose for me: Ping Lim's Champagne Wishes. Very healthy, very hardy and fragrant.

Emily Bronte is new to me this year. So far, I'm enjoying the fragrance and old garden rose inspired blooms.

Diane and JC, Evelyn seems so incredible. I love your photos. DA sure is making it hard to purchase Evelyn, not ever stocking it and now revoking the ability of some well-known nurseries to propagate and sell Austins.

I'm new this this but out of all my blushes so far is Moonlight in Paris, large blooms that hold for a long time. There is a trace of yellow flushing at the beginning but I think that add to the charm.

Here in Michigan, the Buck hybrid "Quietness" would be my #1 pick, year after year.

It is a very pale clear pink, blooms all summer, beautiful healthy foliage, and quietly scented.

I absolutely love Morden Blush--puts out roses almost as early as my rugosas and keeps blooming all summer, and will even have blooms with ice on them. Fully cane hardy.

Devoniensis is a beautiful antique Tea rose. I got mine from Greenmantle. It also comes in a climbing form.

Morden blush is my only blush rose, but I like it a lot.

The Rose Forum photos have been so wonderfully gorgeous to see while my Northern garden is still bare except for one lonely Bliss bud at present. What a long wait it has been to see the flowers bloom again, and it will still be weeks or months for most of them to mature. The roses alone could be enough until pots of Black Knight scabiosa and Black Velvet nasturtium add contrast . My tiny garden isn't going to be what I imagined it would ; Earth Angel may not bloom much if at all it's first year, and I haven't gotten word if the Madame Anisette i ordered will be available, but with Bliss the garden will be nearer perfection than last year.

I love blush colored roses! The first that come to mind are Forever Rose and Sweet Rose of Mine who are very similar to each other. Forever Rose is much hardier and healthier.
