Zebra swallow tail. I love those and just rarely see them in my garden.

I first thought it was a Zebra Swallowtail, but I've never seen one with the green color. It's beautiful.

Thanks all for the answer. It was quite beautiful in person. I noticed on one part of the property here there are several milkweed plants which I know is good for monarchs. I told my husband we need to make sure we don't cut them down.

I saw one again today in my gardenbed. Could be the same one I saw yesterday but if there is one, there is always others. Hope I can get a pic with my camera instead of the phone. Really beautiful butterfly. We have seen the orange ones and the black and yellow ones too.

Taking a break from mowing and getting bombarded by the cicadas. They keep thinking they can do a ride along on my clothes while I mow.

Suggestion: I have Seek on my phone. I can use it to try to find out flowers and butterflies species. It is supposed to be for trees but doesn't seem to work for them.
