'You really outdid yourself with that picture of Indian Giver. It was one of my first daylilies. It did not do well for me for a reason I now forget (probably colorfast problem) so it left. It really is gorgeous for you this year...........I almost got Substantial Evidence partly due to your pictures, but I ran out of room. I really like that flat wide petaled form. The uncertain color I've seen on the database however was one of the reasons I passed on it (for now).............. At Sunset and Lidia's Regal Robes are my other two picks. How colorfast is Lidia for you?......... A very nice group.................Maryl

Maryl, those pictures of Substantial Evidence bounce around in the database, dont they?!! I like the broad flat surface and will be interested in future bloom looks.

I went out at 5:00 to take an afternoon pucture of Lydia. It is in full sun all day and loses its dark color of course.

Lovely group Kate. Your pic of Song Of Promise is so pretty in the cascading trio. Magic Of Oz was always a favorite in my old garden. It can show differently each year but always bloomed even after the deer chewed the foliage down to nubs one spring.

What a beautiful post! So many pretties! My favorites are Ashville White Winged Dove, Royal Girls and Blackberry Dragon. Born in California is looking good. I keep forgetting to photograph mine. Lydia's Regal Robe is another one I grow, but it's late blooming this year for some reason.

Indian giver left my house due to poor performance too. Given that lovely photo, I just needed, what was it? 25 inches of rain a week to get a beauty like that, huh, Kate? Love the Garden Butterfly photo. That one has such pretty blooms. Song of Promise is a beauty, and a nice clump shot of Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. Your white NOID is very pretty too.

It's so hard to believe you are starting to go past peak. I am barely started and I'm so behind in seeing everyone's flowers I've hardly seen any of yours. Gotta get caught up.

There are so many beauties posted here. A few faves: Garden Butterfly [that is a great shot!], Indian Giver does indeed look awesome!, and Blackberry Dragon.

Kate can I ask what you are using to take your pics? These shots are so llovely , crystal clear and colors just pop . My fave's are Indian Giver , Garden Butterfly, .I grow Substantial Evidence but have never seen a prettier image of it .

Asheville White Winged Dove is a lovely one. It is just starting blooming here. While quite well budded for a Selman, I am surprised that yours is still in bloom.
