I think the gold would blend in too much with your floors, unless you are adding a rug, so I voted gunmetal

without seeing the entire space, hard to say.

I like the gold. will you have gold pendants or a rug, or maybe something other in the 'warm' color tones? like maybe a camel leather sofa or chair?

Is this your only dining area? Both are formal for a kitchen eat in but especially so with the gold. If this is your choice for a ktichen eat in I would do the more toned down dark base.

Those are really big tables so make sure that size table plus 36” space around table fir chairs and chair push back will work. If it fits the more formal look is with the gold but the more casual look is the gun metal.

Jennifer, as Flo stated, they are large. i see that they come in 60", all the way up to 108".

I noticed w/both of their examples they've used a gold fixture, or a black/gunmetal light w/the gold legs.

the gunmetal color chairs are a nice contrast. what if you got the gold legs, gold light, and then dark charocal dining chairs?

or the gunmetal finish fixure and maybe gold pendant lights in the kitchen?

The model home has a dining table that sits 84” comfortably so we are planning to do 84” or 72”.

We dont plan to put a rug under the dining table, but the living room is also part of the kitchen/dining room open space where we will be putting a rug there. We plan to have a monochrome color palette of grays, gold, white, and black for the kitchen, dining, and living room.

As for chairs, we haven’t confirmed yet. If we go with the gunmetal, we found a RH dupe but it has black legs. Not sure how it will look with the gunmetal base though. If it doesn’t match well, RH has the matching dining chairs called the “emery” in both gunmetal legs and gold legs but they are just about double the price.

We wont have any light fixture for the dining room since we preinstalled extra pendant lights. We will need to find some lights for the island though.
