Bathroom layout options

I’m trying to come up with a new layout for our master bathroom. I’ll attach some ideas I’ve come up with so far. Any suggestions or advice?

Great job coming up with options! All of them do a better job using the space than the current plan.

If it were me and I wanted a tub and a shower, I would probably go with option 1. It keeps the plumbing off the outside wall and keeps both of your windows. Whoever uses the outside wall sink might have to squeeze past the other person sometimes.

On the other hand, if it were me and I only wanted a shower, I'd be inclined to look at option 2b with a tweak. I would probably just make a half wall at the toilet to conceal it from the entry doors and do away with the toilet door. Then you might use the larger shower from option 2. The half wall could incorporate storage on the toilet side and maybe a bench in the shower. Glass to enclose the shower above the half wall would let the window light fill the space.

    Hope that helps!

I vote option 1 too but i would narrow the doorway (maybe use a barn door?) so you can make the shower bigger.

You seem to have a number of options/ideas. None of the bathroom designs seems to have a tower cabinet for storing all the clean towels and extra supplies. Under-the-sink storage isn’t really enough, and I think each person also needs a few drawers for their own personal things.
One thing I would suggest would be to have the door to the big walk-in closet directly from the bedroom rather than from the bathroom. I don’t like moisture from the bathroom to have any direct access into the clothes closets. When you open the door from the bathroom to the closet, you have possible moisture or odor migration issues. I also don’t want to have to enter the bathroom to get to my closet.

Thanks everyone for all of the helpful feedback. Since I posted that, I came up with one other design option. In this new one, I like that it makes room for both the tub & the toilet room, but it does take away some space from our closet. I’m wondering if it looks like that would be enough space, or should I move then door of the closet to the diagonal space? Any suggestions for a efficient storage on a 45° angle like that?
    Thanks again

    No angled doors or shower.

2, but with no walls/door to the toilet. Is it possible to move windows?

@cpartist - I’m not sure what you mean?

@itsourcasa - yes, we can move windows if necessary, but of course if it’s possible to avoid it, it would save us some money. In the design i posted just above, i widened the window above the tub to be centered.

I like 3 but also consider 2B too. It's better to have a separate toilet.

    So, something more like this?

Is there any other way to enter the closet? I like option 2 or 2a with some work. But if you capture part of the big closet, you can add storage on the right side of the room.

It could be possible to move the closet entry into the bedroom, along the bottom of the drawing.

One important thing to figure into your dual-sink vanity measurements is having enough room for the two of you to do your grooming at the same time. Can you both stand at your sinks with your elbows out to each side and not bump into one another or a wall?
