It looks like American Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). It's a deciduous shrub native to the southeastern U.S. It has tiny flowers usually in early summer along the stem at the leaf nodes. Berries form and eventually become bright, almost metallic purple and may persist into winter. Here is an ARTICLE on it.

Some additional closeups of the leaves and their arrangement along the stem are always helpful, but that looks like a Burning Bush/Winged Spindle (Euonymus alatus) from here.

BB is invasive in some areas .. and just a thug seeder in others...

if there is a tree branch above.. you know where the bird perched to drop the prefertilized seed ...

be done with it ... imo ... and maybe get one of the plants toosie and mindshift seem to be fixated on.. lol .. i always wanted one ... but never got around to getting one ...
