How much space is on the wall to the right of the sink? Are you willing to install a smaller door on that wall?

What is the large square to the right of the sink? If that is a cabinet, I would make it flush with the other cabinets, otherwise add a shallow open selves unit next to it if there is at least 12 inches depth. Center the range between the widows and move the refrigerator to that wall. Add a floor to ceiling cabinet to the left of the refrigerator with sliding shelves in the lower area. The refrigerator should be counter depth.

The large white square in the pic is a poorly drawn dishwasher, it's flush and under a regular countertop. I would probably move that to the kitchen island. The black next to it is a support wall that juts out. I like this plan you posted! Thank you. Do you think from the pic I posted there would be enough room to access the fridge comfortably?

You could get a fridge with two doors. If you got one with one door, make sure it opens into the room.

What is the space from wall to wall in the alcove?

It's about 54"

@Sammie J There is no door to the right of the sink - it's a dishwasher right next to the sink and then the black part on the floor plan is a little wall jut-out

Can you make the alcove where the fridge is into a walk in pantry, and move the fridge next to it? Would require some wall removal or creating an opening for the fridge there, would have to make sure that is not load bearing.

@itsourcasa if I move a wall this one would be it for sure. I do wonder if this is my only option. But the dining room isn't huge so I am hoping to avoid this if I can, it would definitely make that space feel tight. Ah, trade offs...!
