An oversized round wicker platter/basket to soften all the wood and hard lines.

One with color even better, pull color from the art that will go on the walls.

Or something like this but larger scale

You could start with this and add ceramic pieces to layer and add interest.

A simple bowl of fruit or a simple bouquet of flowers. People tend to get too "fussy" on dining room tables.

I like the oversized trays, I've had trouble in the last finding large ones...any suggestions?

You just have look around for the trays: Home Goods, TJMaxx, Marshalls, gift shops

Here is the last one I posted. On Etsy. First here.

I searched for large and oversized wicker baskets, flat baskets and trays. Also extra large wall basket.
