Bathroom Remodel!

My bathroom vanity is separated from the toilet and shower by a swing door. My closet is the door facing my bedroom. I want to update my bathroom, but I'm unsure if I should take down the wall that separates the vanity and the shower? If I do that, I would have to put a door from my bedroom into the bathroom and I'm afraid that would make the bedroom feel smaller? I would appreciate any ideas. Also, I've been advised that pocket doors are not a good option because they break easily. I would appreciate any ideas on that as well. Below are a few photos:

You would want a door between bathroom and bedroom for privacy and to keep the dampness contained until it's vented. I think a swing or pocket are both ok, and you can always leave it open most of the time if you're worried about visuals. But relocating a major duct could be nontrivial, which might make the decision as to door type for you.

Pocket doors are great, space saving, and appropriate for this application, if installed properly.

Is the door the only issue or are you remodeling (changing the finishes) entire bathroom? If the wall is not a load bearing wall, I would remove it.

Does the entire family use the bathroom at the same time? I would remove the toilet wall too. It's a bathroom, how much privacy do you need? I would open up the entire space, leave all the plumbing in the same spaces and change up all the finishes. put your swing door on the closet ( I wouldn't like the closet/bath humidity) Pocket on the bedroom, and if you need shower separation, glass that wall/ pony wall with glass on top for more light exposure?

Thank you!! It is my bathroom-just for my use. I'm remodeling the tile in the shower, floor, vanity. I'm wasn't going to move plumbing. I've called a few contractors and they all try to discourage pocket doors. The issue with the pocket door on my bedroom wall is air return for central air conditioning might have to be moved? I'm not sure.

Pocket doors do not break easily if they are built properly with good quality hardware.

You just need to buy a quality pocket door frame and live with a double thick wall but other than that all good.

Without knowing if your existing wall space can accommodate a pocket door, I do want to say that I’ve had these doors for 15 years (solid wood, installed in a new build) and they work as good now as the first day.
