Garry's Favorite is supposed to be burgundy red. It's a much brighter red than that most days here.

All Things to All Men is always splotchy here. These are the best blooms I've seen this season. The plant is taller, better branched and better budded than in the previous three years.

Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine 2 - This is the one I showed last week and said it had at least 29 buds. Well, a week later, I'm seeing 38 buds on the best scape. This is a three-year-old seedling. It has instant rebloom scapes coming too. Blooms are in the 6 inch range and the scapes are at least 30 inches tall.

Qthe pictures all look good to me. I got busy this morning and did not get pictures when I did go out it was so hot I did not bother, but there were some great looking clilumps. Which brings ne to my favorite picture of So Irristable, just gorgeous. Midnight Castle and Mystic Butterfly are stunning, and great pic of All Things to All Men, too bad it is splotchy so much. I try to avoid those these days, I have some of those and want to get rid of them. Problem is, when splotchless, they are gorgeous.

Sherry - I'm very happy with that Dearest Valentine kid. Mystic Butterfly has what are called tendrils rather that teeth.

Nancy - I bought All Things to All Men to use in hybridizing. It's never set a pod, although I have set many pods with its pollen. However, something always happens to those seedlings, and they die. So I'm pretty done with All Things. I'll be selling it this fall.

Woodnative - Yes, Garry's Favorite is a Pete Harry intro. My only seedling today is the pink one.

What a beautiful post, Debra, The clumps are gorgeous,and both with Irresistible in their names are irresistible. the single blooms are each one beautiful in their own special way, Mystic Butterfly because of the colors, Pink Lemonade party since it looks like a party, Sol Deo Gloria because of its stunning beauty, I know you have to be thrilled with the bud count in Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine 2.

Gorgeous pics as always. Wow, those multibloomers are wowzers. I can't pick a favorite as i like them all. Your seedling Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine 2 appears to be in the "winners circle".. Are you planning to register it? Is it an EMO?

Julia - This is the first year for Grandma's Smile X DV2 to bloom, and it's pretty amazing for a first-timer to do that well. It's a two-year-old evergreen, and only has four fans now. If I do register it, it probably won't be for at least three or four years. Yes, it is an EMO! Nn the meantime, I certainly will be crossing it with my other pink seedlings.

Always hard to pick favorites. I'd say that in the top three in no particular order this time I'd have to put Midnight Castle, Pink Lemonade Party and Dark Gethsemane...........Do you grow many of Korth's daylilies?.......Oh yes, almost forgot the yellow, Empire of Desire. Maryl - The Korths I grow are August Groom, Purify My Heart, Awaken the Dawn, Dark Gethsemane, and Grace Alone. August Groom and Awaken the Dawn are the strongest growers. August Groom and Purify My Heart hold their colors on the hottest days.

Pink Lemonade Party is always do pretty. Great pics of Mystic Butterfly and So Irresistible! The seedling sounds very promising!

Kate - Pink Lemonade Party is down in the foliage this year. Grubs got to it before I applied the grub killer. But the blooms are still pretty. The pink seedling makes me happy!

I wonder if many of Karol's intros are much more splotchy in other climates. From your experience, All Things is more of a hybridizer's plant than a garden plant.

Mantis - All Things hasn't been much of a hybridizing plant for me, but others have gotten great intros out of it. In a climate without heavy dew every morning, All Things might be a good garden plant. It doesn't seem to be as splotchy for David as it is for me.

Thanks as always for the colorfast information. I always appreciate it. I did call Korth and ask him his thoughts on how his daylilies would stand up in a hot climate. His answer was that he was up north so had no idea how they would do further south. I'm glad I have feedback on different daylilies from all my friends on this forum...........Maryl
