My favorite is SC Francis Busby and your seedling in the middle. All are nice but those two I like the best. I also like The Ultimate Sacrifice for its form and color. Too bad your not getting enough rain.

Very hot here too with the humidity making it feel worse. Hope they are right about rain coming in the next day or so.

Julia - I hope we both get rain soon. We got one of those fast-moving popup showers this afternoon, but it only amounted to a couple of tablespoons of water. SC Francis Busby always puts on a good show here. The Ultimate Sacrifice usually does too, but it's having an off year.

Francis Busby and your middle seedling in the clump photo are also my favorites, looks like Julia and I are of the same mindset today. After going weeks with no rain here, we’ve had a good 6” or more this week. not to many bloom photos this week for me, the wind and rain have taken their toll. such weird weather this spring/summer, it has been feast or famine for most of us.

Thanks for your comments, Sherry! Wow, six inches of rain should really nourish your plants and give you some later rebloom. I'd be thankful for a half inch at this point.

We've had over 5-6 inches of rain in the last few days. It's cooled the temperatures down from the hundreds, but the humidity is hideous while the fronts move through. I know ladies aren't supposed to perspire, but it was like I was standing in the shower working out there the other day. I had to come inside in order to see through the rivulet running down my brow........Anyway, Tranquil Waters and Keepsake Rosie jump out at me. Pink Aloha has been blooming, but her colors haven't been up to par in 111 degree heat. Now that it's cooled down, they are getting better. I still love this daylily.................Maryl

Maryl - I'm glad you've got some cooler temps from the rain, but I know what you mean about the humidity. I come in the house after taking pictures and watering, and I'm wet all over. I have to do a change of all clothes by 10:30 a.m. each day. Tranquil Waters has performed well for the past four years, and Keepsake Rosie is having it's best year ever, having finally multiplied. Pink Aloha when she's good, is very, very good. It's taller this year here than it's ever been. I hope Pink Aloha starts looking more like herself for you.

Mantis - I agree that Ada Mae Musick is one of Lambertson's best, probably because it was started in Long Island. The longer those northerner transplants hybridized in Florida, the more tender their plants became. It was really the same for all of them: Stamile, Trimmer, Reilly, Petit, etc.
