Again, nice clumps here. Purple Tarantula has that swirly curly look I like. Heavenly Dragon Fire and Fiesta Latina are indeed bright and bold. I noticed some of these appear to be at the estate-can I ask if you plant perennials in with these as companion plants? Nice post with lots of variety.

Being a fan of orange I give thumbs up to Heavenly Dragon Fire. I've seen it before here and unfortunately it isn't as sunfast as I would like. It's gorgeous in your cooler weather though. Purple Tarantula is an eye full. The flowers look huge. These are my two favorites today..........Maryl

The gardens at the estate are laid out ln 18th-century style, with monochromatic color schemes, long allees, and evergreen dwarf boxwood edging (a signature of the owner that is overdone in my view). Perennials are not mixed with the daylilies, except for some (now-finishing) white asiatic lilies in one case, which have multiplied too much and are interfering with a row of daylilies. The daylilies are the only plants on the estate that are not planted in a monochromatic scheme or that don't use synmetrical repetition.

2 -3 inches of rain sounds like paradise to me....Lucky You!! No wonder your daylilies look so glorious. I always enjoy your photos and these are wonderful. Changed in a Moment is my

Nice group at the estate garden but where are the hospital beds and your own garden? MIssed seeing those this year. You always have an interestinng mix of daylilies and perennials and bulbs blooming.

Sure hope some of st rain hits here! They keep promising rain and I have put watering too long.. daylilies are yellowing.. oddly,, I keep seeing more rebloom scapes. Some rain might would really keep me going a lot longer..

Purple Tarantula looks good, I like it better every time I see it and hear only good things about it so far. I agree about Fiesta Latina. I got it, I think as a gift. I liked pictures of it, but not really into orange, but it sure grabs attention. Mine is not too mature yet, but I think by next year it will really be nice. Lots of nice blooms here, thank you for sharing them.

Julia, only two of these are from the estate. Since I choose and care for the daylilies at the estate, I view them as an extension of my own garden. I see them every day--just three blocks away.
