Spectacular! I love the floors and stain. I happen to be a blue girl myself. I wish I had been as brave as you and went with a brighter blue. Stuck with navy on my island as a safe bet but your blue would have been fantastic. I love that you reconfigured the space making it more practical for how you use your kitchen. Does your DW have a matching door to the trash? Nicely done. I love that you went to the ceiling with the cabinets yet didn't force the stacked cab look. Simple touches like ( I assume lighted) dish cabinet and simple hood. Very nicely done. Congratulations on your new space.

Bright and cheerful, and a nice layout! I'm wondering how you handled closing the extra entries-did you re-route the stairs?

Good question. Stairs were split where one side went into kitchen and one into foyer. We sacrificed the split staircase and added another entry way into the adjoining hallway/mud room in from the family room.
