Hi all-

We are trying to reuse an old laundry room (empty now with everything covered under floors and drywall) in a house built in 1960s in Northeast Ohio. We were lucky enough to find the floor drain but being told that is a lead pipe down there. Our plumber seemed having no problem with it but I’m just wondering if lead pipes will affect us anyway even if it’s in a laundry room. Maybe it means all plumbing in the house Is lead? Our kitchen was remodeled in 2019 and I don’t know if somewhere in the water line it is lead maybe?

I know nothing about plumbing and I’m a first time homeowner so please excuse my silly questions……
