What is wrong with the laminate counters you have?

i dont pretend to know your market, but I would look at simple, white laminate. It seems prudent, to me, given the uncertain status of remaining in the home. It is also functional, and modern versions of laminate are attractive, too.

I agree with Mrs S. I would look into laminate counters. There is some really beautiful laminate out there these days.

I agree that it doesn’t make sense to put a pricey counter on builder grade older cabinets.

Corian can be pricey.

Laminate can be right up there with Corian prices these days. Unless you measure, pick up the tops and DIY the installation of the laminate tops, laminate won't save you much at all. By the time you add in for a template, delivery and installation, it's not that much more $ for Corian, granite or entry level quartz. This is why I haven't sold a laminate top in 15 years. Once people see the price difference, it doesn't make sense.

On the other hand, you have to look at it for a long time. At least until you sell and move on. My personality leans toward getting what I want or I’m not happy.
