problem of my rooster

my rooster named noble is not behaving like before from 2 days when a new rooster has come to the coop he feels too sleepy at day times and not eating and drinking properly he sits in one place outside till evening and comes back fast to his coop for sleeping. His comb is becoming black from the back side and his sickle feathers are looking so dull. Is it a symptom of something or is it common

i don't know much at all about chickens but is it possible the new roo is beating up on him? i didn't think you could keep 2 roos together.

Thanks for the suggestion ninapearl. But they two are hanging together peacefully. They don't trouble each other

There are several reasons why a rooster's comb could turn black. I'm assuming that you are not in a place where it's cold enough to get frostbite, so that's probably out, especially in July. Sometimes it is an issue with too much salt, people use water softeners and the water can be too salty. The worst problem would be heart or liver problems.

At any rate, I hope your rooster has recovered.
