Here's the quilt I did for a friend's graduation. I gave the Zelda quilt to her brother. They were both so happy with them. The colors in this quilt are brighter than the pic. She wanted something pastel with the colors of the sea. This reminds me of a coral sea. So I named it "Take a Dip in the Coral Sea." They are both taking them back to college, so hopefully they won't get stolen.

It was suppose to be a quilt to make in a day. HA! Even though I did make mine larger, I must just be s...l...o...w.

Bev, that's a really lovely quilt. The colors are perfect. I know what you mean about the "quilt in a day" thing. Who are they talking about?!? Not me either, that's for sure.

Bev, it is lovely! I really like your hearts in the quilting, too. I am lucky if I can cut out the squares for a quilt in a day, let alone make one!

Love the colors you used in the quilt, Bev. Nicely done. I think those quilt in a day patterns mean everything is ready and it can be sewn together in 24 hours. I have never gone from start to finish in one day. No way.

Thank you, ladies. I just love the colors, too. To be honest, I had the ladies at the LQS help me pick them out. I am so used to using donated scrap fabric, I didn't trust myself with something that I wanted to truly coordinate. And the two floral prints took so long to arrive, that I was in a hurry to get it done by the 4th.

That's just beautiful. Those colors speak to me too. Interesting pattern. Looks pretty easy to do . Do you know what it's called?
