My Pet Dragon is putting out 3 rebloom Scapes

I like the photo of Dances With Giraffes with that purple clump in the background. What is that purple? Your Pet Dragon performs much better than the one I have. It just started blooming for me two days ago. Grove Park Terrace is the one that always reblooms for me of those Blueridge bonuses we got at the regional. I've missed seeing your posts on here recently. Did you travel for the Fourth?

Did not travel, but had family over for the 4th, and my sons were both here for 3 day weekend. We cut down a dead tree and got somewhere things done around. I hate putting them to work when they come home, but things I can't do by myself, or don't know how to do.

The daylily you asked about is Tropical Depression. An older daylily, but a good one. Grove Park Terrace died here right after blooming. My Pet Dragon has done really well, I did not count buds yet, but well branched and plenty of buds. And now rebloom. I was not sure I would be that crazy about it, but I like that yellow glowing bit on the sepals. Not very obvious on this photo though. We got another orange, Sometimes Never, it has done so well, and has a couple of rebloom scapes. Maybe I will see some rebloom.

I know you enjoyed having your sons home for the holiday weekend. I'm glad they could help you with the dead tree. So sorry your Grove Park Terrace didn't make it. I don't think I ever got Sometimes Never planted, and I don't know what happened to it. My Pet Dragon is not planted in a good spot here. It likely doesn't get enough sun.

Nancy: I see from your photo of Scandinavia you must get a great view from your seating area on your deck to view your gardens. Dances with Giraffes looks enormous. Westbourne Chip off the Old Block is such a pretty pink. I don't think I've ever heard of My Pet Dragon. Intersting color on that one. Good to hear your sons come and help you out. Working together always gives you "family time" no matter what the task may be.

Scandinavia has a great scape. I think there may be more rebloom this year with all the rain.

Nancy, your photo of Dances With Giraffes with that clump behind it is a very pretty shot A nice combo you have there. I don't know what that pretty pink is, but it is not Chip Off The Old Block. Scandinavia is not only tall but so pretty in that nice clump shot.
