Changed lawn a few years ago to KBG and things were looking great, until this spring. Of course, it seems like I'm still always chasing a few small problem areas, including a few weeds and that doesn't bother me much. I apply pre-emergent in a timely manner in the spring which takes care of most weed problems. For some reason, my lawn is not thriving this year and most of the neighboring lawns appear to be thriving better. I have a complete irrigation system (used only once this year after applying Ironite), but with all of the rain we have had this year, the soil appears to be well. I tested a few days ago and come up with 6.6 to 6.8 PH. Looking at Google Earth, my lawn appears to be one of the healthier (darker green) lawns in the neighborhood. This year, something is amiss. I have mushrooms growing in the lawn that indicates reasonable organic health below if I understand it and I don't see a concern with thatch. But, I have definitely had "red thread" this year and from what I am reading, this is common with KBG and excessive rain. I even treated that with a Scotts fungicide just to see if that might give some relieve. I also use Milorganite on a regular 4 times each year basis, last application being in late May. A few years ago, I overapplied nitrogen and have since been hesitant to drop nitrogen just to see if that might help; favoring instead the slower release of Milorganite. At this point, other than submit another soil sample to Logan, I'm stumped. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you
