The countertop is an elevated/styled material and would look great as a backsplash with a small ledge on top. Just keep in mind that your wall outlets and switches are what is also in play. For a seemless, cohesive look they should be hidden if possible. Your cabinets are so pretty!!!!

Hard to determine. in your first picture, the tiles look creamy/ beige. In the second, they look gray.

Your third is no backsplash.

Can we see a picture like that one?

I like your backsplash and love your counters. Oh and the nutmeg stain ooohhh la la. Beautiful!!! However, It does seem like the backsplash is a cooler tone of white than the counters. It could be my monitor but that is the only issue I am seeing that is some how looks a bit cooler. I wonder if under-cab lighting can help. A yellow warm light rather than the typical white blue lights.

If you can I would do the countertops up the wall. You have the ideal set up for it bc your stovetop isn’t at a wall.
Otherwise I’d look for a tile that’s cream as opposed to white with blue undertones.
( the current isn’t horrible. And is definitely liveable. But yes the cool tones are clashing a bit with the countertops)

Thank you for your input. The backsplash has variations of color. It looks fine at a distance but not up close . It does not complement the Brittanica Gold. I do have under cabinet lighting and it doesn’t help. I love my countertops and cabinets but finding a backsplash has been exhaust and now expensive and must be redone.

If you don’t like it, and are over it, use your countertop material.

Thats a beautiful countertop and the backsplash is a much cooler white. In your first pic it looks like the tile to the left is warmer and might go better with your counter but can you get a box of it and stack them up to make sure you achieve the look you want?

Doing something and then having to redo because it didn't come out as expected, we’ve all been there!

The mismatch in the OP’s kitchen was that the tile she chose had grey, blue and pink undertones while her quartz had a gold background color.

Your tile choice does not make that mistake, the colors look fine, but it is a small, dark tile and the glaze variability is busy, especially with the unusual finish on the peninsula. That is staying? You like the finish on the peninsula? Because it’s not too late to order finish panels from your cabinetmaker and have them installed over that.

What is the paint color on the walls right now (or is that primer)? Because that is the tile color I would choose. It is warm and very closely approximates the background color of your counter material. Because of the complexity of the counter and that unusual peninsula, I would consider a large format rectangular tile with very low glaze variability. This is Fireclay Tile.
