No benefit if you won't use it. Remove it

If you have no need for an in-law suite or apartment rental, then remove it.

If you aren’t going to rent it as an apartment or use it as an in-law suite, it can go!

If it’s not hurting anything or taking up too much space, leave it alone. No reason to spend money if it’s not actively causing problems.

If you’re not going to use it or rent it out, take it out. I would rather have that wall space for other things. Nice to have a sink and m/w down there, though.

This is just a view our basement we will never rent it or have someone living down there. It doesn’t cost anything for us to remove, we would probably make money selling the stove. We can make repairs to the wall from the cabinet installation ourselves and thankfully it’s all just sitting on top of our tile. I have been hesitating thinking oh I’ll regret it if I do take it out but I really can’t imagine using it.

It’s great for rental or resale benefits.
But if you don’t plan to sell I’d nock it out, update the wet bar, and maybe incorporate a microwave into a cabinet. If you ever miss the oven down there you can put a toaster in a cabinet too. I just don’t think all the bulk is beneficial and lucky!! That it’s just sitting on top of the tile. That’s great

I agree to remove it. Keep pictures that you can show a future buyer should they want that set- up.

I think you dont’t want the kitchen vibe down there, and the stove is the main culprit.

If you have kids who will be teenagers soon, you may want to keep it for the teener parties. A basement party room with a kitchenette could be fabulous.

We use our basement oven ,which was in place when we purchased the home, in the summer months to keep the main floor of the house cool.

I think I would lean towards keeping it.
