So we're in the process of redoing our kitchen cabinets. Going with white shaker prefab/RTA since our layout is pretty standard. I keep finding conflicting information regarding HDF or maple for the doors. My main goal is longevity, I'm not too concerned with the hairline cracks you can get with maple doors. I can live with that is the maple option lasts longer and holds up better. I just want these cabinets to last. So I'm stuck between options with 5 piece HDF doors or 5 piece maple doors with HDF center panels. Which option would be best for longevity? Which option is going to last 15-20 years and hold up?
