How would you decorate with black/white bedding?

I'm decorating a very small guestroom, so I ordered a black metal headboard (no footboard) similar to this one in a full. My original thought was to look for bedding in blue, green or a combo since I've used those colors in the rest of my house. I'm now starting to wonder if I should go with a more classic black/white bedding, maybe a ticking stripe. I found a ticking stipe at Ballards, but I would love to find something cheaper. If I go with the black/white bedding, how would you decorate the rest of the room? Would you add another color like green/blue or would you decorate the whole room in shades of black, gray and white? Since the room is so small, the other decor would probably just consist of curtains and pictures. If there is room to set a table/small dresser somewhere, I might then need a few decor pieces to set on it. Ballards Ticking Stripe

Well, depends on the vibe you like. I'm a color and pattern gal. I'd totally splurge on a bed quilt to anchor the room and decorate around it. I love them, wish I had room for more at my house.

The first photo you posted has the advantage of having both color and pattern. I think probably most of those do, have a solid side. I like that first one because it brings in two of my favorite colors--lake blue and sagey green. YMMV. The striped one has the advantage of having a little darker color than the walls so would add a strong accent.

Really depends on what you like best, they are all fab. The one with the bright teal and lime green would take you in another direction decor-wise. That one has a more boho vibe. I like that as well. Honestly, I'm sort of a person who thinks that most of the rooms in the house should have at least the same feel. I'm not a fan of bedrooms having dramatically different decor, which can be an issue when you have kids who want a bold style for their nest. I get that. But as a guest bedroom, I'd try to go for a look that at least mirrors your overall home decor in some way, relates to it. Also the layout of the room. A tiny room would have different constraints than a larger one.

I would soften the strong black frame a bit with some more muted, warm tones. Perhaps a beige or sage stripe pillow, and sage or beige sheets with white duvet or white sheets and sage or beige duvet.

I'd add a lot of natural colors and textures. Sisal rug or some baskets, nature prints, etc. If that was my thing. Could also go with some strong geometric colorful stuff, but since you're considering a ticking stripe of the paisley in your inspiration photo (or whatever that kind of print is called) I was thinking some more natural elements.

I like the idea of mixing in natural tones/textures if I go with the black and white. Something similar to this is what I was thinking.

For something with more color, maybe one of these?

Are the walls solid color? I'm always flipping between a solid bed cover and a patterned throw, and then a patterned bed cover with a solid throw . . . hubs gets aggravated with me because I always need that extra blanket at the bottom of the bed . . . except when I get too hot and throw it off. Then go searching for it at the bottom of the bed in the middle of the night . . .

The walls are SW Natural Linen, which is a light tan.

Hi, could you please tell me where you discovered the first picture of the quilt after you said, "For something with more color, maybe one of these.?" It's the one with flowers with the green blue coloring. I would very much appreciate that information. I've been looking for months for something that would go with my cream bed. Thanks so much!
