The ARCH of the window is the problem!

Most of the time, drapery is hung ignoring the arch.

You can have a Roman blind made to fit the arch, but it doesn't open all the way up. Drapery on a curve rod is longer in the middle and drags on the floor when fully opened.

Hey There: I would ignore the arch and have a curtain to each side. You can hang the rod all the way up to make it more invisible. When fully open, the beautiful window takes over and when fully closed at night, nobody sees the arch anyway. Best of Luck.

Mount curtains outside the recess with rods extended wide enough for drapes to hang so the window and view appear in all their glory when drapes are open.
