What’s snipping my melon stems?

I noticed something rather strange today when I saw 3 wilting stems from my melons. 3 of my melon stems were just snipped off and left right where it was. All of them were pretty much next to each other. It wasn’t like that yesterday. What insect/animal could do this? My melons climb on a trellis but the ones that were cut was sprawling on the ground and rather hidden under the climbing parts of the plant. Our whole backyard is fenced and my raised bed where my melons are also have its own fence to protect it from our dogs.
