Love the beams and architecture! The challenge is furniture placement given the nonwall with the two large openings. Working with your existing furnishings, I’d float the sofa in front of the fireplace with the cocktail table in between. Place the loveseat to the right of the sofa to make an L-shaped seating area, with a square or round end table with lamp between them. Keep the chair in that corner left of the fireplace, but pull it closer to the corner of the fireplace hearth and add a small table beside it. This configuration will allow for conversation, snuggling around the fireplace and watching tv, especially if you like to lay on the couch while watching tv! However, if you’re looking for a more open seating arrangement, lose the loveseat and flank the fireplace with a chair and small side table on each side. The tv needs to shift to the right so it aligns better with either furniture configuration. Anchor it all with a big enough area rug so at least the front legs of all furniture are on the rug. Other ideas: Whitewash the fireplace. Outfit the windows with roman shades. Add a narrow console table or cabinet under the tv. Lose the huge speakers…a Sonos bar under the tv may be a good substitute. Please share photos as you try different options!

Thank you Susan for all your recommendations. I will play with the furnitures configurations and see how it works for us. I wondering if i should add some extra scope wall mounted light?

Have you considered a grouping of four swivel chairs around a hassock or coffee table all centered on the fireplace?

Are you planning to buy new furniture? Could you do a floor plan of the living room with measurements? Include the entry, the fireplace, the two openings. and the windows.

Because of many white planks, idea for soft shapes, large scale of flowers... sort of faded, dip dye look:

These colors I'm calling paled brick, and paled amber floor.

I see more white than any other. Dark wall. Rich warm brick in between.

So there is alot of contrast in the area. Possibly a medium toasty rug could bridge the light through to the dark. And 'marry' the brick fp.

Wall looks really nice but before purchasing anything, I’d be sure of layout so that the appropriate sizes are chosen.

Would tv fit on opposite wall sitting on a low console.

Then black wall becomes a great backdrop/focal point. I’d also paint fireplace (and add mantle), which would open up more decor options style wise.

What I meant to say was: maybe you could have one area, a gallery wall with blue frames... or some aspect that ties them together in a grouping.. behind sofa?
