Have you considered adding a Blinds Between the Glass component to your existing door? Search products by ODL. I installed one on a door at our cabin. Very easy, and the blinds work well. Home depot and Lowes carry some standard sizes.

What about just putting a cafe curtain on the door? Something like this:

There are white vinyl blinds that have fittings to secure the bottom of the blinds to the door so it doesn't flop about when the door is opened/closed and that's likely the best choice unless you're wanting to change out the window to get the kind with blinds inside the window as maddielee suggested,

^ except you don't change the window. You install a component over the existing window.

Thank you all for your comments. All of them are great suggestions! I'm just wondering from a design perspective what would have the best visual appeal. I like the clean look of the ODL mini blinds, but was looking for something a little more decorative. I also like the cafe curtain, but I was hoping to be able to open it during the day. But I am leaning towards the ODL blinds at the moment.
