working on Main floor (which includes entrance. half bath, kitchen, dining room, family room, laundry room) renovations...using stools at the island from another room until we decide on what style to get (leather/fabric/wicker/arm rest/backs/swivel/adjustable) also need artwork for walls, rug for family room and deciding on whether to paint dining room set.

Nice work, we also did our staircase (see above). Do you think you will need a handrail and where did you get the clock?

Thanks! I love your staircase, and the colors - Very Nice! We do have a handrail on the right side of the tall staircase, you just can't see it in the picture. We are still deciding on what to do about the round stair area. The clock is from Restoration Hardware.

This year we did hardwood floors, moved the useless fireplace from the corner to the center of the living room, took down brown curtains and framed out windows that look out to our backyard.

geunderwood, thanks for the feedback! Should I leave only the white outermost trim white and paint the trim around the door and between the sidelites black? That is what I am thinking otherwise it may look choppy/busy, and this way give the impression of one large entry door.

We did over our bathroom and the colours are all in neutrals. I am looking for a contrast colour and accessories to add some colour What do you suggest all the cupboards and the armoire are in very dark wood.
