visit a real nursery.. and see if they are selling it .. if not.. there is your answer ...

but also ask to talk with the owner/manager ... and ask about it ... local advice is usually the best ...

and its usually helpful to include you big city name rather than just predicted minimum winter temp ... aka zone ...

Ken, I saw it at a very good local nursery. But it was sold in those blue Bloomin' Easy pots.

The nursery folks say that it's too new for them to know how good it does here.

Sorry I am in Edmonton in Alberta, zone 3b/4a. But I believe that my area has microclimate so it should be 4a. Thank you!

It has done fine for me in MN 4b. Foliage color does not hold down here during the heat of summer going to dark green with some red highlights. Oh.....and it spreads.

Thank you, pennlake! This is very good to know. I thought the dark red colour throughout the season was a bit too good to be true, and I guess it is! Spreading is also not what I want here.... so you helped answer my questions completely. Thanks again!

Foliage color has held reasonably well here in a full sun location. They are just about done blooming for the season - only a few flowers left. As pennlake noted, they will sucker and spread over time.
