Almost looks like a canaliculata hybrid.

To my untrained eyes, looks too much like my S. Sulcata. It is now over 3 feet tall and spreading has many new shoots almost like the one pictured. I don't have a current picture yet.

It was just a tip cutting a few years ago. Fast quick grower.

Rob, not sure of the purple sheaths. Didn't notice any on mine. But close enough for me anyway not to be interested in this one. Now, variegated !!!! Yes. Mine are now 4 feet and climbing. Was told it never gets over 3.

So if you go to llifle.com, I believe it is a Sans. bacularis. Purple sheaths on 1-2 leaves per cluster at 1.7m (~5 foot) height. I love llifle, if only it had more varieties on there.

Right, it's just another renaming of an old plant. Bad names are ridiculous now and getting worse. It does look like bacularis, old name sulcata as Stush mentioned. The purple sheath is there if you look below the soil level on a new leaf, they soon dry up and disappear after a short time. Masoniana has large, obvious purple sheaths, and the only other sans I've seen with them is dawei.

Hey Stush, I still use sulcata and all the old names, most of my labels have the old names. So no worries my friend. But I do like to make sure new growers know what is what.
