Just good 'ole (or not) black locust. An aggressive weed tree that root-sprouts to reproduce. Usually looks ragged in maturity (at least here) from locust-borers and locust leaf-miners.

Pretty when blooming, though, with fragrant flowers. A tree I sometimes enjoying experiencing when not on my own property.

I cut one down a huge one 15 years ago and it was astonishing how the suckers popped up for the next couple years, up to 50-60' away from the trunk, too.

Occasionally an isolated one will escape the above problems & look reasonably handsome in a rugged fashion. This is in early fall w/alittle color change beginning.

There are a few of them, just appeared this spring, I think. Maybe I'll let one try it's luck against the pests.
