I wanted the sink and stacked W/D. I fold on a dresser that is in the closet of the guest room across the hall. Works for me. I like the height of the dresser. I don’t use the sink as much as I thought I would but I still like having it near the laundry.

It's nice to have a sink in a laundry, but I think it's more important to have the countertop space to set things down, whether or not you use it for folding. It's nice for sorting or applying prestain. Having the countertop over the washer dryer also gives you more space to put in cabinets above them so you can store laundry detergant, cleaning supplies, etc. and a drying rack.

Most of the laundries I design now......I eliminate the sink. When I ask clients if they really need/use one, they say "No."
