Probably. When my daughters were small they were carving the jack o lantern and as any small children were asking questions. One of those questions was will they grown more pumpkins. We saved some seed and planted it along the fence in the back yard. Boy did they grow, they took over that part of the yard and grew into the willow tree. On vine in the willow produced a pumpkin about 4 feet above the ground. We collected dozens of pumpkin and my wife used them in every recipe she could find. The mothers of the neighborhood children told them not to accept any more pumpkins. At one time one half of the garage was covered by pumpkins

I had the same thing happen. The pumpkins are growing just fine! Zone 7a. You may want to prop the pumpkins up on bricks or something similar to get them up off the moist grass to lower the odds of infection.
