I am not sure they are hydrangeas. The leaves are a little off but I could not tell from afar. Expect the rootball to develop several stems from the crown. The stems look awful thin. Could be weeds... or who knows what.

I would normally wait until the plants are more developed, wait until they become dormant and then transplant as much as I can. The root system will be thin and about 4" deep so be careful when extracting a hydrangea sucker.

Hydrangeas have opposite leaves. The plants in question do not. It's something other than Hydrangea.
